European stock markets finished in the positive Thursday, boosted by strength in the tech and energy sectors ahead of Chairman Ben Bernanke’s speech on U.S. interest rates. Upbeat financial results at Royal Ahold also provided a boost to the market sentiment. Across regional markets, France and the U. K. climbed 1.3%, followed by Germany which advanced 1.1%.
