Humana Net Falls 28%, Mattel Net Drops 46%

Humana Inc fourth quarter revenues rose 18% to $7.5 billion and net income fell 28% to $174.1 million or $1.03 a share. Mattel, Inc fourth quarter sales fell 11% to $1.94 billion and net income fell 46% to $176.4 million or 49 cents a share.

Banco Bradesco S.A., a Brazil based private bank reported fourth quarter net income in the quarter fell 1% to R$1.8 billion compared to net income of R$2.2 billion a year ago.

Net income for the fiscal year 2008 rose 5% to R$7.6 billion compared to net income of R$7.2 billion a year ago.

Net sales for the fiscal year 2008 rose 25.6% to $2.11 billion from $1.68 billion a year ago. Net loss for the year was $99.4 million or $1.05 per diluted share compared to net income of $147.3 million or $1.66 per share a year ago.

BE Aerospace, Inc (BEAV: chart) in the last one year traded as high as $43.51 in February 2008 and as low as $5.37 in November 2008. Based on the Friday''s closing price of $9.67 the company has market cap of $961.86 million.

Dover Downs Gaming & Entertainment, Inc, a diversified gaming and entertainment company reported fourth quarter revenues fell 6.5% to $55.4 million from $59.3 million a year ago. Mattel, Inc (MAT: chart) in the last one year traded as high as $21.99 in March 2008 and as low as $10.89 in November 2008. Based on the Friday''s closing price of $14.19 the company has market cap of $5.09 billion.

Piper Jaffray Companies, a middle-market investment bank and institutional securities firm reported fourth quarter revenues fell 60% to $59.4 million from $147.9 million a year ago. Net loss in the quarter was $153.3 million or $9.78 per diluted share compared to net loss of $28.2 million or $1.79 per share a year ago.
