Express Scripts Net Up 8%; Whiting Petroleum Net Loss

Express Scripts, Inc fourth quarter revenues rose 49% to $8.2 billion and net income rose 8% to $223.3 million or 80 cents a share. Whiting Petroleum Corporation fourth quarter revenues rose 41% to $316.0 million and net loss was $11.2 million or 24 cents a share.

California Water Service Group, the provide regulated and non-regulated water and wastewater utility services said fourth quarter revenues rose 7% to $106.9 million from $100.1 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter fell 11% to $6.5 million or 31 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $7.3 million or 35 cents per share a year ago.

Revenues for the fiscal year 2009 rose 9.5% to $449.4 million from $410.3 million a year ago. Net income for the year rose 2% to $40.6 million or $1.95 per diluted share compared to net income of $39.8 million or $1.90 per share a year ago.

California Water Service Group (CWT: chart) in the last one year traded as high as $44.06 in March 2009 and as low as $33.49 in May 2009. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $37.24 the company has market cap of $772.54 million.

Cameco Corporation, the uranium producer said fourth quarter revenues rose 3% to $659 million from $640 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter was $598 million or $1.52 per diluted share compared to net income of $31 million or 8 cents per share a year ago.

Revenues for the fiscal year 2009 rose 6.4% to $2.32 billion from $2.18 billion a year ago. Net income for the year rose 144% to $1.1 billion or $2.82 per diluted share compared to net income of $450 million or $1.28 per share a year ago.

Deltic Timber Corporation, a natural resources company said fourth quarter sales fell 0.6% to $31.0 million from $31.2 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter was $3.7 million or 30 cents per diluted share compared to net loss of $255,000 or 2 cents per share a year ago.

Net sales for the fiscal year 2009 fell 13.5% to $112.0 million from $129.5 million a year ago. Net income for the year fell 16% to $3.7 million or 30 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $4.4 million or 35 cents per share a year ago.

Deltic Timber Corporation (DEL: chart) in the last one year traded as high as $54.15 in January 2010 and as low as $26.94 in March 2009. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $46.54 the company has market cap of $579.16 million.

Donaldson Company, Inc, the filtration systems for engines and industrial products said second quarter sales fell 5.3% to $436.1 million from $460.6 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter fell 8.3% to $31.0 million or 39 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $33.8 million or 43 cents per share a year ago.

Limited Brands, Inc, the specialty retailer of women’s intimate and other apparel said fourth quarter sales rose 2.3% to $3.06 billion from $2.99 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter was $356.1 million or $1.08 per diluted share compared to net income of $16.1 million or 5 cents per share a year ago.

Comparable same-store sales increased 1%.

Net sales for the fiscal year 2009 fell 4.5% to $8.63 billion from $9.04 billion a year ago. Net income for the year rose 103.5% to $447.9 million or $1.37 per diluted share compared to net income of $220.1 million or 65 cents per share a year ago.
