Advance Auto Parts Inc, an automotive aftermarket retailer said second quarter revenues rose 7% to $1.32 billion from $1.24 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 7% to $80.3 million or 83 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $75.4 million or 78 cents per share a year ago.

Revenues for the fiscal year 2009 fell 2% to $883.4 million from $899.7 million a year ago. Net income in the year rose 18% to $126.3 million or $2.22 per diluted share compared to net income of $107.2 million or $1.85 per share a year ago.
