The automotive parts retailer’ s net earnings for the fourth quarter were $34.8 million, or 35 cents per share, compared with $35.4 million, or 33 cents per share, in the same quarter the previous year. ValueClick, online marketing services company, posted a 14% rise in revenue for the fourth quarter to $183.1 million from $160.4 million a year ago.

 
Advance Auto Parts, Inc. (AAP: chart) reported fourth quarter revenue increase of 3.2% to $1.05 billion from $1.02 billion last year. Advance Auto sales increased to 41% for the fourth quarter of 2007, compared with 40.8 % for 2006.

Net earnings for the fourth quarter of 2007 were $34.8 million, or 35 cents per share, compared with $35.4 million, or 33 cents per share, in the same quarter the previous year.

Net earning for the full year were $238.3 million, or $2.28 per diluted share, compared to $231.3 million, or $2.16 per diluted share, in 2006. For the full year 2007, revenue increased to $4.84 billion compared to $4.62 billion a year ago.

ABB Ltd. (ABB: chart), a Switzerland-based worldwide provider of power and automation technologies, said that its full year orders increased 27% from a year ago and revenues rose 25%. Order backlog was $22.7 billion at the end of 2007, 44% higher than in the end of 2006.

For the fourth-quarter ended revenue increased 50% to $8.7 billion, from $6.9 billion in the year-ago period. Basic EPS for the quarter ended 31st December 2007 were $0.76 compared to $0.19 in the year-ago period.

UBS AG (UBS: chart), provider of financial services on a global level, reported group net loss attributable to shareholders of CHF 4,384 million in fiscal year 2007.

For the fourth quarter of 2007, the group’s net attributable loss was CHF 12,451 million, with the financial businesses contributing a loss of CHF 12,483 million. Diluted earnings per share of the fourth quarter were a loss of CHF 6.53 compared to a profit of CHF 1.54 for the same period of 2006. For the full year the company declared a loss of CHF 2.49 versus profit of CHF 5.57 a year ago.

Daimler AG (DAI: chart), supplier of passenger cars, and manufacturer of commercial vehicles, said that Mercedes-Benz Cars, comprising the brands Mercedes-Benz, Maybach, Smart, Mercedes AMG, and Mercedes-Benz McLaren, sold 1,293,200 vehicles in 2007, exceeding the record figure set in the prior year by 3%. The Mercedes-Benz brand increased unit sales in the year under review by 3% to 1,180,100 vehicles. The Smart brand sold 103,100 vehicles, thus equaling the prior-year level of 102,700.

Mercedes-Benz Vans set a new record by selling 289,100 vehicles worldwide in 2007 versus 256,900 in 2006. Nearly all markets and product lines contributed to this strong performance. Worldwide sales of the Sprinter van totaled 184,300 units compared with 157,200 a year ago.

Daimler declared revenue in euro 99.4 billion (US$145.2 billion) compared with the prior-year level of euro 99.2 billion (US$144.9 billion).

Fourth quarter earnings per share were US$2.50 compared to $0.02 for the same period of last year. For the full year result earnings per share were US$5.59 versus $5.35 a year ago.

ValueClick, Inc. (VCLK: chart), online marketing services company, reported that revenue for the fourth quarter of 2007 rose 14% to $183.1 million from $160.4 million for the fourth quarter of the previous year.

Net income for the fourth quarter of 2007 was $18.1 million, or $0.18 per diluted share, compared to $21.6 million, or $0.22 per diluted share, for the same quarter of last year.

The Knot, Inc. (KNOT: chart), lifestage media and services company, reported that revenues for the fourth quarter ended December 2007 were $5.5 million, compared to $4.3 million for the same quarter of 2006. Net income for the fourth quarter of 2007 was $2.6 million, or $0.08 per basic and diluted share compared with $14.6 million, or $0.48 per basic and $0.45 per diluted share a year ago.

Net revenue for the full year 2007 increased 36% to $98.7 million from $72.7 million last year. Net income for the quarter ended December 31st was $11.9 million, or $0.38 per basic share and $0.36 per diluted share, compared with $23.4 million, or $0.90 per basic and $0.82 per diluted share a year ago.

Mohawk Industries Inc. (MHK: chart), a producer of floor covering products, reported that revenue for the fourth quarter of 2007 declined 5% to $1.81 billion from $1.9 billion in the same quarter of last year.

Net income for the fourth quarter of 2007 was $370.1 million, or $5.53 per diluted share, compared to $129.5 million, or $1.90 per diluted share, for the same quarter last year.

GSI Commerce Inc. (GSIC: chart), provider of e-commerce solutions, reported that net revenue for the full year 2007 increased 23% to $750 million from $609.6million in the previous year.

For the full year 2007, net income declined to $3 million or $0.06 per diluted share from $53.7 million or $1.10 per diluted share last year.
