The Company’s Cardiac Cryoablation System, is designed to treat cardiac arrhythmias through the use of cryoenergy, or extreme cold, to ablate, or destroy, targeted cardiac cells. Unlike radiofrequency and other heat-based ablation technologies, which can destroy both the targeted cardiac cells and the extracellular material that binds the cells together, cryoablation leaves the material surrounding the cardiac cells fully intact.
