Fund manager Madelynn Matlock focuses on individual companies with excellent fundamentals combined with attractive stock valuation.

State Street Global Advisors, the investment management arm of State Street Corp., provides investment strategies across every asset class, investment approach and style. One of the SPDR ETF family's current objectives is to establish a solid presence in the underrepresented fixed-income segment of the ETF arena. State Street is partnering with Lehman Brothers to provide ETFs based on broad indices both in the U.S. and overseas.

Instead of focusing on the data and noise flooding the equity markets, Gregory L. Morris, the manager of the PMFM Managed Portfolio Fund, prefers to measure and ride the market trends. After all, it is not important what caused the buying enthusiasm or the speculation. The important part is having a system to detect the upward trend early enough to gain, as well as the downward trend to avoid losing.

Stewart Capital invests in people before investing in businesses. Fund manager Malcolm Polley looks for companies run by experienced, talented management teams. Unlike many equity funds, the Fund focuses on a relatively small number of intensively researched companies priced at a discount to the present values of their future cash flows. It is the Fund's policy not to concentrate its investments in any one industry or group of related industries.
