| U.S. stocks sold off sharply after the release of weaker than expected same store sales from most retailers. sales at discounters and warehouse club retailers are rising but at a slower pace. Consumers are battling rising food prices between 4% and 15% and energy price increase of 40% from a year ago. Even Costco and BJs, leading discount merchandiser are reporting slowing store sales growth. |
