RealD Inc. today announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 12.5 million common shares at $16.00 per share. The company seeks to raise $200 million from this offering. The shares are expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ""RLD"" from July 16.
Of the 12.50 million shares being offered in the IPO, RealD is offering 6.0 million shares and selling stockholders are offering 6.50 million shares. In addition, the selling stockholders have granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1.875 million common shares at the initial public offering price, less underwriting discounts and commissions. RealD will not receive any proceeds from the sale of shares by the selling stockholders.
J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. and Piper Jaffray & Co. are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering. William Blair & Company, L.L.C. is acting as co-lead manager, and Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated and BMO Capital Markets Corp. are acting as co-managers.
