MasterCard Plans $2.45 billion IPO

In one of the largest IPOs ever, MasterCard plans to raise $2.45 billion. CBOT replaces William Blair with Sandler as lead for the IPO.
The world’s second largest credit card company may raise as much as two and a half billion dollars in an initial public offering of common stock. The trading is expected to begin early next year. Chicago Board of Trade replaces William Blair with Sandler O'Neill Partners and raises the price range to $45-$49 from $36 per share.

New Filings Keep IPO Market Alive

Though traditional summer lull still lingers, the IPO market saw some fresh filings on Friday.
No deal has been priced for the last two weeks as the summer IPO is traditionally idle in early September. Five companies filed for initial public offerings, among which there are two that are planning auction-style OpenIPOs. There aren’t any IPOs on deck for the week of September 12th.

Solar Panel Designer Plans to Go Public

Limited fossil fuel supply and escalating electricity consumption are driving up wholesale electricity prices. This has resulted in higher electricity costs for consumers and highlighted the need to develop new technologies for electricity generation. Solar and wind power generation have emerged as the most rapidly growing renewable energy sources. Following this line of thoughts it won’t be a surprice if solar and wind power firms become more active on the IPO market.
