CardioNet Falls Below Offer Price

CardioNet priced 4.5 million shares at $18 per share. The offering was expected to sell 6 million shares between $22 and $24 a share.
Two IPOs were launched during the last week. Highly expected offering from Visa was priced at $44 and traded as high as $68. The stock closed up 38% on the first day of trading. CardioNet priced its shares but below the expectations. More than 30 IPOs were withdrawn or postponed in the past two months and no offerings are expected to be priced this week.

Visa IPO Opens at $68

Visa priced its share in the largest public offering at $44 and opened at $68. Visa stock traded down after the initial trades to $59.
Visa, the largest payment card processing company priced its offering at $44 per share on Tuesday. The deal was expected to be priced between $37 and $42. The stock opened at $68 and quickly traded down to $59. Visa, in the largest public offering in the U.S., raised $17.9 billion and offered 406 million shares. The offering values the company at $42.5 billion. MasterCard, the second largest processor jumped to $215 in the morning trading.

Heritage-Crystal Raises $22 Million

Only one new IPO was launched during the past week. Heritage-Crystal priced within the expectations and traded well above their offering price. There are three deals scheduled to be priced the following week, including the highly expected Visa IPO.
