Six companies priced shares last week raising nearly $700 million. Salary.com and Opnext saw their shares up at start. Thirty seven IPOs have been priced so far in 2007 and 70% of them are trading above their offering price. There are no deals scheduled to be priced the next week.
Fortress Investment saw its shares gain 89% on Friday on the NYSE before closing the day at $31, up 68%. The Fortress deal came in a week of 15 IPOs that raised nearly $3.6 billion.
Ten companies priced shares last week, and all of them closed above the offering price on Friday. Duncan Energy, Employers Holdings, HFF Inc. and Animal Health were the best performers among the newly-traded companies.
