CB Richard Ellis First Quarter Earnings Call
May 14, 12:41 PM EDT
The long-term strategy of diversifying across geographies and service lines shielded the firm from the full effects of the downturn.
The real estate firm reported net income was $20.5 million or 10 cents a share, up 70.8% due to significant growth in the outsourcing business though revenue was up marginally to $1.2 billion. As anticipated, the weaker economy as well as the unsettled credit market environment materially impacted the capital markets businesses. Investment sales activity declined in the Americas and Europe due to limited credit availability.
