| Unemployment rate rose from 9.8% in September to 10.2% in October, and nonfarm payroll employment continued to decline 190,000. The largest job losses in the month were in construction, manufacturing and retail trade. |

Productivity in Q3 Rise at 9.5% Nov 05, 9:52 AM ET |

| Nonfarm business sector labor productivity increased at a 9.5% annual rate during the third quarter of 2009. From the second quarter of 2008 to the second quarter of 2009, output fell 3.5% while hours fell 7.5%, resulting an increase in productivity of 4.3%. |

| Crude oil inventories at the end of last week decreased 4.0 million barrels to 335.9 million barrels. Motor Gasoline inventories decreased 0.3 million barrels last week end and inventories of finished gasoline decreased and distillate inventories decreased by 0.4 million barrels. |

Factory Orders Up 0.9% in September Nov 03, 10:52 AM ET |

| New orders for manufactured goods in September, up five of the last six months, increased $3.3 billion or 0.9% to $356.1 billion. This followed a 0.8% August decrease. Excluding transportation, new orders increased 0.8%. |
