| The index for finished consumer foods moved up 1.5% in April following a 0.7% decline in the prior month. |

| The Producer Price Index for Finished Goods increased 0.3% in April, seasonally adjusted, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. This rise followed a 1.2% decline in March and a 0.1% increase in February. |

Crude and Gasoline Inventories Decline May 13, 10:44 AM ET |

| Distillate fuel inventories increased by 1.0 million barrels, and are above the upper boundary of the average range for this time of year. |

| U.S. commercial crude oil inventories decreased by 4.7 million barrels from the previous week. At 370.6 million barrels, U.S. crude oil inventories are above the upper boundary of the average range for this time of year. Total motor gasoline inventories decreased by 4.1 million barrels last week, and are in the middle of the average range. Both finished gasoline inventories and gasoline blending components inventories decreased last week. |

| The U.S. Import Price Index rose 1.6% in April, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. A 15.4% increase in import petroleum prices more than offset a 0.4% decline in the price index for nonpetroleum imports. Export prices also rose in April, increasing 0.5%. |

| The U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, through the Department of Commerce, announced today that total March exports of $123.6 billion and imports of $151.2 billion resulted in a goods and services deficit of $27.6 billion, up from $26.1 billion in February, revised. March exports were $3.0 billon less than February exports of $126.6 billion. |
