Private wage and salary disbursements increased $6.7 billion in the month after decreasing $24.5 billion in June according to the latest data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. |

Durable Goods orders Rise in July Aug 26, 1:19 AM ET |

| Durable goods orders in July increased 4.9% to $168.4 billion, the third monthly increase in the last four months and the largest percentage increase since July 2007. The orders increased 1.3% in June. Shipments of manufactured goods increased 2.0% after rising 0.7% in June. |
