Wal-Mart Stores, Kohl’s Corp Net Rises

9:50AM New York - Wal-Mart Stores, Inc revenue rose 1.1% and net income rose 3.2%. Kohl’s Corporation sale rose 6.6% and net income rose 20.6%.

AECOM Technology Corporation, the provider of professional technical and management support services reported fourth quarter revenues flat at $1.63 billion from $1.63 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 25% to $54.3 million or 48 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $43.5 million or 41 cents per share a year ago.

Revenues for the fiscal year 2009 rose 18% to $6.12 billion from $5.19 billion a year ago. Net income for the year rose 30% to $189.7 million or $1.73 per diluted share compared to net income of $147.2 million or $1.41 per share a year ago.

AECOM Technology Corporation (ACM) in the last one year traded as high as $33.20 in July 2009 and as low as $17.07 in November 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $25.47 the company has market cap of $2.81 billion.

BCE Inc, the phone company reported third quarter revenues rose 0.5% to $4.46 billion from $4.44 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 125% to $558 million or 72 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $248 million or 31 cents per share a year ago.

Net loss in the quarter was $14.5 million or 23 cents per diluted share compared to net loss of $215.9 million or $3.45 per share a year ago.

Total revenues for the fiscal year 2009 fell 58.5% to $218.7 million from $526.4 million a year ago. Net loss for the year was $227.9 million or $3.62 per diluted share compared to net loss of $235.9 million or $3.66 per share a year ago.

Brooks Automation, Inc (BRKS) in the last one year traded as high as $9.11 in October 2009 and as low as $2.52 in November 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $7.44 the company has market cap of $479.07 million.

Kohl’s Corporation, the department store operator reported third quarter sales rose 6.6% to $4.05 billion from $3.80 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 20.6% to $193 million or 63 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $160 million or 52 cents per share a year ago.

Comparable same-store sales increased 2.4%.

Kohl’s Corporation (KSS) in the last one year traded as high as $60.89 in October 2009 and as low as $24.28 in March 2009. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $54.59 the company has market cap of $16.68 billion.

Lee Enterprises, Incorporated, a provider of local news, information and advertising reported fourth quarter revenues fell 20% to $195.8 million from $244.9 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter was $1.8 million or 4 cents per diluted share compared to net loss of $192.2 million or $4.34 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the fiscal year 2009 fell 18.2% to $842.0 million from $1.03 billion a year ago. Net loss for the year was $123.2 million or $2.77 per diluted share compared to net loss of $880.3 million or $19.64 per share a year ago.

Lee Enterprises, Incorporated (LEE) in the last one year traded as high as $4.24 in October 2009 and as low as $0.24 in March 2009. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $3.53 the company has market cap of $158.59 million.

Seahawk Drilling, Inc., a drilling company reported third quarter revenues fell 59% to $67.6 million from $164 million a year ago. Net loss in the quarter was $32.4 million or $2.79 per diluted share compared to net income of $43.6 million or $3.77 per share a year ago.
