Southwestern Energy, Gap Inc Net Rises

4:30AM New York - Southwestern Energy Company revenue rose 25% and net income rose 51.4%. The Gap, Inc sales rose 4% and net income rose 45%.

Cogent, Inc, a provider of automated fingerprint identification systems said fourth quarter sales fell 5% to $37.9 million from $40.0 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter fell 18% to $9.4 million or 10 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $11.5 million or 13 cents per share a year ago.

Net sales for the fiscal year 2009 rose 3% to $129.6 million from $125.7 million a year ago. Net income for the year fell 28% to $32.5 million or 36 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $45.2 million or 50 cents per share a year ago.

Cogent, Inc (COGT) in the last one year traded as high as $12.74 in April 2009 and as low as $7.96 in December 2009. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $10.44 the company has market cap of $936.94 million.

Fluor Corporation, the engineering and construction management firm said fourth quarter revenues fell 9.7% to $5.48 billion from $6.07 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter fell 21.5% to $148.7 million or 82 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $189.5 million or $1.03 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the fiscal year 2009 fell 1% to $22.0 billion from $22.3 billion a year ago. Net income for the year fell 4.3% to $684.9 million or $3.75 per diluted share compared to net income of $716.1 million or $3.89 per share a year ago.

Fluor Corporation (FLR) in the last one year traded as high as $58.62 in August 2009 and as low as $30.21 in February 2009. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $45.05 the company has market cap of $8.06 billion.

The Gap, Inc, the specialty retailer said fourth quarter sales rose 4% to $4.24 billion from $4.08 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 45% to $352 million or 51 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $243 million or 34 cents per share a year ago.

Comparable same-store sales increased 2%.

Net sales for the fiscal year 2009 fell 2% to $14.2 billion from $14.5 billion a year ago. Net income for the year rose 14% to $1.1 billion or $1.58 per diluted share compared to net income of $967 million or $1.34 per share a year ago.

The Gap, Inc (GPS) in the last one year traded as high as $23.36 in October 2009 and as low as $9.56 in March 2009. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $20.39 the company has market cap of $14.07 billion.

Southwestern Energy Company, an energy company said fourth quarter revenues rose 25% to $624.5 million from $500.1 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 51.4% to $157.8 million or 45 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $104.2 million or 30 cents per share a year ago.

Revenues for the fiscal year 2009 fell 7% to $2.15 billion from $2.31 billion a year ago. Net loss for the year was $35.7 million or 10 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $567.9 million or $1.64 per share a year ago.

Southwestern Energy Company (SWN) in the last one year traded as high as $52.82 in January 2010 and as low as $26.66 in March 2009. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $42.99 the company has market cap of $14.84 billion.

VanceInfo Technologies Inc, an information technology service provider said fourth quarter revenues rose 44% to $43.3 million from $30.1 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 29% to $6.7 million or 16 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $5.2 million or 13 cents per share a year ago.

Net revenues for the fiscal year 2009 rose 44% to $148.1 million from $102.7 million a year ago. Net income for the year rose 32.7% to $21.5 million or 52 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $16.2 million or 40 cents per share a year ago.

VanceInfo Technologies Inc (VIT) in the last one year traded as high as $21.83 in January 2010 and as low as $4.31 in March 2009. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $19.10 the company has market cap of $753.80 million.

Volcom, Inc, a clothing maker said fourth quarter revenues fell 7.8% to $64.2 million from $69.6 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter was $3.4 million or 14 cents per diluted share compared to net loss of $8.7 million or 36 cents per share a year ago.

Total revenues for the fiscal year 2009 fell 16% to $280.6 million from $334.3 million a year ago. Net income for the year was flat at $21.7 million or 89 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $21.7 million or 89 cents per share a year ago.
