10:00PM New York – RiskMetrics falls after it reported lower than expected earnings.
RiskMetrics Group, Inc. risk-management and corporate-governance services provider said that fourth quarter 2007 revenue increased 28.5% to $67.6 million from $52.6 million in the same period of 2006.
For the quarter ended Dec. 31, the company reported income of $1.2 million, or 2 cents per share, compared with $3.7 million, or 7 cents per share, in the year-ago period.
Full-year 2007 annual revenue increased 19.1% to $243.6 million from $204.5 million in the last year 2006.
For the year, RiskMetrics reported income of $2.4 million, or 4 cents per share, compared with $16 million, or 33 cents per share, in last year 2006.
As of March 31, 2008, the Company anticipates revenue for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2008 to be in the range of $285 million to $295 million. Renewal rates are expected to be between 89% and 91%.
RiskMetrics Group, Inc. (
RMG: chart) shares fell 79 cents, or 3.9%, to $19.35.
Immucor, Inc. (
BLUD: chart), which supplies equipment to the blood transfusion industry today reported revenue for the fiscal third quarter was $67.0 million, up 17% from $57.1 million in the same period last year.
Net income for the period ended Feb. 29 2008, grew to $19.3 million, or 27 cents per share, from $15 million, or 21 cents per share, in the same period a year 2007.
Immucor, Inc. (
BLUD: chart) shares of rose 93 cents, or 3.9%, to $24.53.
