PLL Sales Fall, MW Net Plunges 90%

10:00AM New York- The Men’s Wearhouse, Inc sales fell 11% and net income fell 90%. Pall Corporation second quarter revenues fell 13% and net income fell 19%.

AAON, Inc, a rooftop air conditioner and heater maker said fourth quarter revenues fell 3% to $60.2 million from $62.1 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 30.4% to $6 million or 35 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $4.6 million or 24 cents per share a year ago.

Net revenues for the fiscal year 2008 rose 6.6% to $279.7 million from $262.5 million a year ago. Net income for the year rose 23% to $28.6 million or $1.60 per diluted share compared to net income of $23.2 million or $1.22 per share a year ago.

AAON, Inc (AAON) in the last one year traded as high as $23.00 in June 2008 and as low as $12.79 in October 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $17.39 the company has market cap of $299.04 million.

Diamond Foods, Inc, a nuts and snacks seller said second quarter revenues rose 13% to $150.6 million from $133.8 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 126% to $6.1 million or 37 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $2.7 million or 17 cents per share a year ago.

Net sales for the fiscal year 2008 rose 5% to $761.1 million from $728.1 million a year ago. Net income for the year rose 23% to $19.7 million or 45 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $16 million or 36 cents per share a year ago.

Hot Topic, Inc (HOTT) in the last one year traded as high as $9.89 in February 2009 and as low as $4.04 in March 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $8.85 the company has market cap of $387.70 million.

Jo-Ann Stores, Inc, a craft and fabric retailer said fourth quarter sales fell 2% to $571.9 million from $585.9 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter fell 26% to $20.4 million or 79 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $27.5 million or $1.10 per share a year ago.

Comparable same store sales fell 2.9%.

Net sales for the fiscal year 2008 rose 1% to $1.9 billion from $1.88 billion a year ago. Net income for the year rose 42% to $21.9 million or 86 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $15.4 million or 62 cents per share a year ago.

Jo-Ann Stores, Inc (JAS) in the last one year traded as high as $27.00 in September 2008 and as low as $10.31 in March 2009. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $12.45 the company has market cap of $321.90 million.

Majesco Entertainment Company, a provider of interactive entertainment products said first quarter revenues rose 75.4% to $32.8 million from $18.7 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 54% to $4.2 million or 15 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $2.7 million or 10 cents per share a year ago.

The Men’s Wearhouse, Inc, one of North America''s largest specialty retailers of men''s apparel said fourth quarter sales fell 11% to $476.4 million from $535 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter fell 90% to $1.5 million or 3 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $14.8 million or 28 cents per share a year ago.

Net sales for the fiscal year 2008 fell 6.6% to $1.97 billion from $2.11 billion a year ago. Net income for the year fell 60% to $58.8 million or $1.13 per diluted share compared to net income of $147.0 million or $2.73 per share a year ago.

The Men’s Wearhouse, Inc (MW) in the last one year traded as high as $27.64 in April 2008 and as low as $8.33 in November 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $10.87 the company has market cap of $562.58 million.

Pall Corporation, the industrial and medical filtration specialists said second quarter revenues fell 13% to $543.3 million from $625.7 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter fell 19% to $38.9 million or 33 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $48 million or 39 cents per share a year ago.
