Eagle Bulk Net Falls 44%, McDermott Net Plunges

[10:00AM New York- Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc revenue rose 68.5% and net income fell 43.6%. McDermott International, Inc revenue rose 9% and net income fell 73%. PHH Corporation revenue fell 60% and net loss was $216 million.

Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc, engaged in the ocean transportation of bulk cargoes said fourth quarter revenues rose 68.5% to $60 million from $35.6 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter fell 43.6% to $9.2 million or 20 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $16.3 million or 35 cents per share a year ago.

Net revenues for the fiscal year 2008 rose 49% to $185.4 million from $124.8 million a year ago. Net income for the year rose 18% to $61.6 million or $1.31 per diluted share compared to net income of $52.2 million or $1.24 per share a year ago.

Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc (EGLE) in the last one year traded as high as $36.24 in May 2008 and as low as $2.55 in December 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $3.15 the company has market cap of $147.70 million.

iPCS, Inc, a company that operates as a PCS Affiliate of Sprint Nextel Corporation said fourth quarter revenues fell 2.5% to $138.4 million from $141.9 million a year ago. Net loss in the quarter was $0.1 million or break even per diluted share compared to net loss of $4.1 million or 24 cents per share a year ago.

Total revenues for the fiscal year fell 2.3% to $525.5 million from $538.1 million a year ago. Net loss of the year was $9.8 million or 57 cents per diluted share compared to net loss of $69.3 million or $4.08 per share a year ago.

iPCS, Inc (IPCS) in the last one year traded as high as $32.56 in April 2008 and as low as $3.27 in November 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $7.55 the company has market cap of $129.61 million.

McDermott International, Inc, which provides construction and engineering services for oil and gas companies said fourth quarter revenues rose 9% to $1.66 billion from $1.53 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter fell 73% to $43 million or 19 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $160 million or 70 cents per share a year ago.

Revenues for the fiscal year 2008 rose 18% to $6.6 billion from $5.6 billion a year ago. Net income for the year fell 29% to $429.3 million or $1.86 per diluted share compared to net income of $607.8 million or $2.66 per share a year ago.

McDermott International, Inc (MDR) in the last one year traded as high as $67.14 in June 2008 and as low as $5.98 in November 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $10.12 the company has market cap of $2.31 billion.

PHH Corporation, an outsource provider of mortgage and fleet management services said fourth quarter revenues fell 60% to $218 million from $550 million a year ago. Net loss in the quarter was $216 million or $3.98 per diluted share compared to net income of $12 million or 21 cents per share a year ago.

Net revenues fro the fiscal year 2008 fell 4.5% to $2.1 billion from $2.2 billion a year ago. Net loss of the year was $254 million or $4.68 per diluted share compared to net loss of $12 million or 23 cents per share a year ago.

PHH Corporation (PHH) in the last one year traded as high as $21.75 in March 2008 and as low as $4.27 in November 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $9.26 the company has market cap of $502.41 million.

TravelCenters of America LLC, operates and franchises travel centers said fourth quarter revenues fell 28% to $1.3 billion from $1.8 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter was $1.4 million or 8 cents per diluted share compared to net loss of $68.9 million or $4.86 per share a year ago.

Total revenues for the fiscal year rose 24% to $7.7 billion from $6.2 billion a year ago. Net loss of the year was $40.2 million or $2.71 per diluted share compared to net loss of $123.4 million a year ago.

TravelCenters of America LLC (TA) in the last one year traded as high as $13.28 in February 2008 and as low as $1.19 in December 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of $2.02 the company has market cap of $32.42 million.
