Sony''s fourth-quarter loss widened from a year ago on higher costs for the new PlayStation 3 game machine, but the company forecast that profit for the current year would more than double on strong sales of flat TVs and other electronics. Telefonica posted a 7.7% increase in first-quarter net profit, buoyed by contributions from its 02 mobile service and strong growth in its domestic fixed-line and high-speed Internet access services.
