10:00AM New York – The Gymboree Corporation sales rose13% and earnings gained 38%. Hot Topic, Inc revenue rose 3% and net loss $450,000. Limited Brands, Inc revenue fell 13% and earning fell 61%.

The Children’s Place Retail Stores, Inc, a specialty retailer of children’s merchandise reported second quarter sales increased 16% to $338.0 million from $290.5 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter was $11,000 or less than a penny a share compared to net loss of $28.1 million or 97 cents per share, a year ago.

Comparable store sales increased 7% year-to-date 2008 compared to a 1% increase last year.

The Children’s Place Retail Stores, Inc (PLCE) in the last one year traded as high as $42.59 in July 2008 and as low as $14.92 in January 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price the company has a market cap of $1.08 billion.

Dick’s Sporting Goods, Inc, a sporting goods retailer reported second quarter revenues increased 7% to $1,086.3 million from $1,013.5 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter declined 17% to $41.1 million or 35 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $47.9 million or 41 cents per share, a year ago. Comparable store sales declined 3.7%.

Dick’s Sporting Goods, Inc (DKS) in the last one year traded as high as $36.78 in September 2007 and as low as $14.93 in July 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price the company has a market cap of $2.04 billion.

GameStop Corp, the world’s largest video game and entertainment software retailer reported second quarter sales increased 35% to $1,804.4 million from $1,338.2 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter rose 62% to $57.2 million or 34 cents per diluted share compared to net income of $21.8 million or 13 cents per share, a year ago. Comparable store sales increased 20% during the second quarter.

GameStop Corp (GME) in the last one year traded as high as $63.77 in December 2007 and as low as $37.62 in July 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price the company has a market cap of $7.11 billion.

The Gymboree Corporation, children''s clothing retailer said second quarter sales grew 13% to $205.7 million from $182.4 million a year ago. Net income in the quarter jumped 38% to $8 million or 27 cents per diluted share compared to net income of$5.8 million or 19 cents per share, a year ago.

The Gymboree Corporation (GYMB) in the last one year traded as high as $47.69 in May 2008 and as low as $25.99 in July 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price the company has a market cap of $1.06 billion.

Hot Topic, Inc, the teen clothing retailer said second quarter revenues climbed 3% to $166.8 million from $161.7 million a year ago. Net loss in the quarter was $450,000 or $0.01 per diluted share compared to net loss of $1.7 million or 4 cents per share, a year ago.

Hot Topic, Inc (HOTT) in the last one year traded as high as $9.00 in August 2007 and as low as $3.90 in January 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price the company has a market cap of $300.31 million.

Limited Brands, Inc, specialty apparel maker said second quarter revenues fell 13% to $2.28 billion from $2.62 billion a year ago. Net income in the quarter fell 61% to $102 million or 30 cents per diluted share compared to net income of$264.4 million or 67 cents per share, a year ago.
