Consequently, operating income rose 27% to $862 million or 74 cents a share reflecting a 14.1% operating margin, from $682 million or 54 cents a share in 2007. The solid bookings achieved demonstrate continued global demand for Accenture’s services. |

For fiscal 2008, the firm continues to target new bookings in the range of $24 billion to $26 billion and anticipates revenue growth to be in the range of 9% to 12% in local currency. |

Effective tax rate was 33.3%, which includes the effect of the reduction in the year-to-date tax rate from 34.9% to 34.3% as a result of changes in the forecasted geographic mix of income. In Q4, revenues are expected to be in the range of $4.8 billion to $5 billion. |
