The same-store sales growth included a 10.6% jump in commercial sales, which was partially offset by a 3% drop in do-it-yourself sales. The company repurchased approximately 4.6 million shares at an average price of $34.04 for a total expenditure of $155 million. |

| The leading retailer of the automotive parts reported revenue of $1.16 billion, up from $1.10 billion in prior year. While the same store sales of Do-it-Yourself fell by 1%, the commercial same store sales grew by 8%. In the quarter, the firm recorded a pretax charge of $6.3 million in severance costs related to its position eliminations and asset write-offs associated with shutting down the Advance TV Network. For Q4, the company reaffirmed the same store sales guidance of zero to 2%. |

| The auto parts retailer reported revenue increase of 5.6% to $1.17 billion, failing to meet the analysts’ expectation of $1.19 billion. As part of a business strategy review, the company reduced staffing at its store support center and in its field organization by a total of 250 positions. Comparable store sales increase was at the lower end of low single digit guidance range. New store openings in 2007 will be reduced to 190 to 200 stores from the previous outlook of 200 to 210 stores. |

| The auto parts retailer reported same store sales growth of 1.1%, on 5.2% growth in commercial same store sales partially offset by DIY same store sales of negative 0.2%. For the first quarter, Autoparts International contributed $36 million to total sales. During Q1, the firm opened 70 new stores, 62 Advance Auto Parts stores and eight Autopart International stores. For the second quarter, earnings are expected to be 65 cents to 69 cents per diluted share. |
