10:00AM Sydney, Australia – Cochlear Limited revenue grew 19% and net profit climbed 22%. JB Hi-Fi Limited revenue grew 28% and net profit climbed 41%.
Cochlear Limited, the maker of the world’s biggest-selling hearing implant said first-half revenues grew 19% to A$355.2 million. Net profit in the quarter climbed 22% to A$69.9 million or A$1.25 per diluted share compared to net profit of $57.1 million or A$1.03 per share, a year ago.
Cochlear Limited, in the last one year traded as high as A$67.26 in February 2008 and as low as A$42.80 in June 2008. Based on the yesterday’s closing price of A$55.00 the company has market cap of A$3.05 billion.
JB Hi-Fi Limited, the discount retailer of televisions and DVDs said first-half revenues grew 28% to A$1.26 billion. Net profit in the quarter climbed 41% to A$59 million.
