European markets rebounded from earlier weakness to close largely in the positive. Market sentiment recovered on gains by auto stocks and bargain-hunting. The French Renault and the German BMW each rose 2% to lead market gainers. On Wednesday European averages tumbled about 3% each on U.S. core inflation data. On Thursday, the German DAX 30 closed up 0.2%, the French CAC 40 declined 0.2%, while London’s FTSE 100 was flat at 0.09%.
