European shares slumped after London was hit by a series of explosions in the city’s subway system and on three double-decker buses throwing the whole city into confusion. London’s FTSE dropped 3.6%, Germany’s DAX 30 lost 3%, and France’s CAC 40 slid 3.6%. As the news of blast spread the pound dropped to $1.7410. The euro was trading 0.7% up at $1.2009. After earlier record high of $62.10 a barrel, crude-oil futures lost 5.4% to $57.95.
