Asian markets tumbled on fears of higher oil prices as the strengthening hurricane Dennis rumbled toward the heart of oil production, the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf Coast, launching crude-oil prices above a record $61 a barrel. Crude-oil settled at $61.28 in New York but rose 20 cents to $61.48 in after-hours trading in Asia.
