Norwegian oil company Statoil ASA announced it would sell its half-interest in the Danish Petrochemical group Borealis, one of the top 10 plastic companies, for $1.21 billion in order to concentrate on major oil and gas business. The deal is expected to finish in the 4Q pending regulatory approval.
